| 2005-05-25 i have a really irrational fear of mountain lions. i think it started last summer, when there were reports of mountain lion attacks in griffith park. this is the same griffith park that i partcipated in many hikes, mostly alone. anyways, from then on i've been really freaked out. example one- sean tried to take me for a walk in the desert, a few miles outside of palm springs. i opted out because i had an image of lions hanging out by a waterhole, kind of like a scene from the lion king. example two- one of the stalls in my work restroom is very dark and the door is always closed. i sometimes have images of a mountain lion hiding in the stall. or at least a murderer/rapist. example three- this really is not an incident, but the lion king has been playing in sacramento for the past month, and every day on the way to work i ride my bike past the crew and trailers. |
