| 2005-08-13 tomorrow i leave for brazil. three days ago, i was not prepared at all. but then i got nervous so i emailed a billion places and now i have my vacation set in stone approx. 80%. my mom said the best way to deal with jet lag is to just stay up as late as you can and then you can sleep on the plane. i don't know if i agree with her, but i think i'll be too anxious to sleep much anyways. the other day i got robbed at gunpoint. i was pretty calm and everyone says i seem really calm except for people at work because i started crying at the office. anyways, i just got back at the gym and i found myself reluctant to stop working out because i was nervous to walk in the parking lot alone, even though it was 3pm and there are always a bunch of people. but, alas, what can you do? i think lots of people have experiences like that at one point in their life, or at least know someone who did. i only lost $1 which is fortunate because only a few days earlier i had $100 in my wallet for no good reason. luckily, i spent $99 of that by the time i was robbed. |
